A trade program is an account a supplier opens for businesses that buy for projects, with its own pricing and a named contact. The Stone Tile Depot trade program, called Pros Club, is that account for architects, interior designers, builders, contractors and dealers: free to apply, with trade pricing applied at checkout whenever the member is logged in. This guide explains who it is for, what changes on an order, what to have ready to apply, and where trade buyers source tile, stone, slabs and pavers on the site.
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Who can apply | Architects, designers, builders, contractors, dealers and other trade businesses |
| Project types | Residential projects, and commercial projects such as hospitality and multi family |
| Cost to join | Free to apply, no commitment and no fees |
| Review | Within a couple of days; a dedicated account manager is assigned |
| How pricing works | Trade pricing applies automatically at checkout when you are logged in |
| Where it applies | Eligible tile and stone |
| Extras | Members-only promotions |
| Sales tax | Tax-exempt buyers send in their exemption form |
The application asks for a type of business, and the choices are Architect, Designer, Builder, Contractor, Dealer and Other. It also asks whether the work is residential or commercial, and the commercial option names hospitality and multi family projects. In practice that means a designer choosing marble for a client bathroom, a general contractor ordering floor tile for a remodel, a builder finishing a run of units, a dealer reselling stone.
The program has served projects of very different sizes. Stone Tile Depot has supplied projects for Disneyland Resort, Hyatt Hotels and Resorts, New York University, Olive Garden and Sbarro, and the trade page sums up the range as from family homes to hotel lobbies. The application does not set a minimum company size.
Member pricing is tied to the account, so nothing is requested per order and nothing is quoted by email for stocked tile and stone. Log in, add eligible products to the cart, and the trade price is applied at checkout. The trade price shows on the order before it is placed.
Each approved account is assigned an account manager. The specialist works with you on selection, quotes and project support: narrowing a list of marbles to the ones with enough material for the job, checking which warehouse holds a product, or pulling together a quote for slabs that are sold by quote only.
Members receive promotions that are not offered on the public site, sent by email to the account. That is also why the application asks for consent to receive email: the approval and the trade pricing details are sent that way.
All sales are subject to city and state sales tax. A reseller or other tax-exempt buyer sends in the exemption form, and the account is set up to match.

The form asks for your name, email, phone, company name, Tax ID, business address, type of business, annual sales and project type, and every field is required. Before you start, have ready:

Lookbook

The grid above is one way a hospitality job splits across the catalog: Royal Beige honed marble at 12x24 for the lobby, Berlin Grey matte porcelain at 12x24 for back-of-house corridors, an Absolute White honed marble slab for the reception counter, and Taja Cream split face limestone ledger panel at 9x24 for the entrance wall. Each one is a separate page, and the trade specialist can quote them together.
| Public price | Wholesale price | Trade price | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Who sees it | Every shopper | Every shopper, on Wholesale Tiles products | Approved Pros Club members, logged in |
| Where it shows | The price on the product page | An "as low as" box next to the price on the product page | At checkout |
| What triggers it | Nothing | A larger order of that product | The account, on eligible tile and stone |
| Code needed | No | No | No |
Slab quotes and sample orders are separate from all three: a slab is priced per project by quote, and a sample is ordered from the product page at its own sample price. How trade pricing combines with a given promotion or sale item depends on the products in the cart, so ask your trade specialist when it matters to a bid.
Products on the site are tagged with the warehouse that holds them, and each location has its own page listing what is there: Carlstadt, NJ, Fairfax, VA, Chantilly, VA, Miami, FL, Pompano Beach, FL, Anaheim, CA warehouse and Laredo, TX. A product can be listed in more than one: Royale polished marble at 24x24, for example, is listed in Carlstadt, Chantilly, Miami, Pompano Beach and Anaheim. When a job needs a large quantity from one place, the trade specialist can confirm which location holds enough of it.
This page is the start of a series written for people who buy tile and stone for a living. Each guide covers one part of the job:
The item codes or product names, the square footage for each, the project ZIP code and whether the job is residential or commercial. Each product page shows an item code under the title. For slabs, add the batch numbers you chose from the slab page and, if you have one, your fabricator's name; the slab quote form asks for the same details.
A batch is a group of slabs listed under one batch number, with its own slab size, square feet per slab, slab count and warehouse. A Statuario honed marble slab page, for example, lists two batches, one of 66 by 125 inch slabs and one of 69 by 125 inch slabs. A quote is requested for the batches you select.
No. The footer box signs an email address up for deals and new arrivals. The trade account is a separate application on the Trade Professionals page, with company details and a Tax ID, and it is the application that turns on trade pricing.
Look under the product title. A tile page such as Italian Carrara honed marble at 12x24 shows the item code and a stock figure in square feet, and the location pages show which warehouses list the product. Bring both numbers to your trade specialist when the job needs a large quantity from one place.
