Journey Stone Look Porcelain

Journey is a general purpose stone face: fine grain, low contrast, nothing in the print that dates it. Modern Grey and Natural Ivory are the two colourways that do most of the work, with a white and a black at the ends of the range.

A face like this is the safe choice for an open plan floor that runs from a kitchen through a living area and out to a hallway, because it does not commit the room to a period or a style. It also takes rugs, wood furniture and painted cabinetry without arguing with any of them.

Sizes and pieces

Field tiles at 12x12, 12x24 and 24x48, mosaics at 12x12 and 12x10, bullnose at 3x24 and cove base at 6x12, in matte and slip resistant surfaces.

Large format on a floor

The 24x48 is the size that makes a stone look floor work, and it is also the size that punishes a bad substrate. A large tile cannot follow a dip in a slab; it bridges it and the corner lifts. Flatten the floor first, use the right trowel, and back butter every tile at this size.
