Which wood look planks are listed for a backsplash?
The planks here are 8x40 porcelain with a printed wood grain face. Landmark Ceramics makes most of them, in the Emotion, True, Spirit, Sequoia, Aspen, Oxford and Nottingham lines. Stone Tile Depot adds Areia, Rami and Almond as rectified field planks at 3/8 inch, and Pigna as a rectified chevron plank. A long plank on a backsplash shows the grain the way a wood panel would.
Which oak, walnut and maple shades are there?
Several Landmark color names are wood species. Oak comes as True Classic Oak, Spirit Elegant Oak, Aspen Oak and Nottingham Oak, walnut as Emotion Happy Walnut, True Elegant Walnut and Spirit Chic Walnut, chestnut as Spirit Sober Chestnut and maple as Spirit Old Maple. Other shades are named by tone: Sequoia Blonde and Sequoia Brown, Oxford Honey and Nottingham Honey, Emotion Relax Beige and True Contemporary White. In the Stone Tile Depot planks, Areia, Rami and Pigna are beige and Almond is brown.
What backsplash formats are there?
There are three formats. Straight 8x40 planks make up most of the page, from both Landmark Ceramics and Stone Tile Depot. Pigna is a single 8x40 plank cut as a chevron, with angled ends. Peau D Elephant and Gris Ardoise are chevron mosaics with the pattern already set on 17x7 3/4 sheets, at 5/16 inch.
Kitchen or bath: which room listings apply?
Room listings follow the line. Every Landmark plank, in Emotion, True, Spirit, Sequoia, Aspen, Oxford and Nottingham, has both kitchen and bathroom listings. Among the Stone Tile Depot planks, Almond and the Pigna chevron plank are kitchen pieces, and Areia and Rami bathroom pieces. The Peau D Elephant and Gris Ardoise chevrons appear under kitchens, bathrooms and living rooms.
Where else are these tiles listed?
The Landmark planks also go on interior floors and shower walls. The two chevron mosaics have interior floor and wall listings, plus outdoor floor and wall listings. Areia, Rami, Almond and Pigna are backsplash pieces only. More wood look tile in every size is in wood look tiles, wood look tile listed for showers is in wood look shower tiles, and backsplash tile in every material is in backsplash tiles.
What does rectified mean on a plank?
Stone Tile Depot's four planks have a rectified finish tag, which means the edges are ground straight and square after firing. Areia, Rami and Almond are field planks, cut as plain rectangles, while Pigna is a chevron plank with angled ends. All four are 8x40 at 3/8 inch. Landmark's planks have a matte finish tag and no rectified tag, and the chevron mosaics are matte as well.
Which Landmark lines are there, and how thick are they?
Emotion comes in Happy Walnut and Relax Beige, True in Classic Oak, Contemporary White and Elegant Walnut, and Spirit in Elegant Oak, Sober Chestnut, Chic Walnut and Old Maple, all at 9 mm. Sequoia comes in Blonde and Brown, Aspen in Oak, Oxford in Honey and Nottingham in Honey and Oak, all at 8 mm. Each is an 8x40 matte plank. Stone Tile Depot's Areia, Rami, Almond and Pigna are 3/8 inch, and the Peau D Elephant and Gris Ardoise chevron mosaics are 5/16 inch.
Plank or chevron?
A straight 8x40 plank shows the printed grain of a single board along its length. A chevron breaks that grain into a zigzag, either on the Pigna plank, which has angled ends, or on the Peau D Elephant and Gris Ardoise mosaic sheets. The two mosaics also have outdoor floor and wall listings, which no plank on this page has.
