How to Buy Slabs

Slabs are delivered only to a licensed fabricator. Review the delivery requirements before requesting samples.

Do You Have a Fabricator?

Slabs can only be shipped to a licensed fabricator for unloading. We don't recommend shipping slabs to job sites or to non-fabricators. Before requesting samples, make sure you have a fabricator to handle your slabs.

Slabs Are Heavy and Delicate

Special care is required when shipping slabs. There are two shipping methods:

Truck with an A-Frame: Check with your fabricator to see if they are equipped to pick up the slab from our facility where it is located. Your fabricator should contact us to confirm availability and pricing before you order samples. We deliver within 50 miles of the warehouse directly to licensed fabricators only (no job site deliveries).
LTL Shipments by Crate: If your fabricator is more than 50 miles from our slab warehouse, they should ask about pricing for crating and shipping. Please contact us for crating charges and confirm freight costs before ordering slab samples.
Slabs should be handled only by the people listed above. We are not responsible for any damage or liability from slab handling.
Preparation and shipment of slab samples may take 6-9 business days.

Quartzite · Slab

No batch is currently in stock for this stone. A batch is the group of slabs cut from one block, so slabs in the same batch look the closest to each other. This Amarula Quartzite Leather Slab Random comes in full slabs of random sizes. It carries a leather finish that reads as black with subtle tonal shifts. Pricing is by quote for the slabs you select.

Design

Black leather on random slabs

The colour is black with a leather finish that combines a brushed texture with a low sheen. It hides water spots and fingerprints better than a polished face. Each slab is one piece of stone with its own size and its own markings. The veining varies from slab to slab. The rustic style shows through in the natural grain and the random edge profiles.

Leather finish details

The brushed texture reduces glare and masks everyday marks.

Random slab sizes

Each piece is a unique cut from one block of stone.

Where to use it

Rooms and surfaces for Amarula

This slab suits residential countertops, shower walls, and commercial interior walls. A licensed fabricator templates and installs it. Open the batch list to see the sizes in stock when they arrive. Slabs from one batch match most closely. We deliver to a licensed fabricator, not to a home or job site. Delivery is by A-frame truck within 50 miles of the warehouse holding the slab, and by crated LTL freight beyond that.

Countertop preparation

The fabricator templates the slab after the cabinet boxes are in place.

Wet room sealing

Seal the stone in kitchens and wet rooms to resist etching.
