Product Description
Elements Stone is a 24x48 porcelain tile with a stone look in a matte finish, 8.5 mm (5/16 inch) thick.
Elements is a quiet, fine-grained stone look in Cream, Stone and White. The rectified, colored body porcelain comes in 24x48, 24x24 and 12x24, with a leaf-shaped mosaic, a square mosaic and a bullnose.
At 24x48 this is a large format, so a room needs fewer pieces and shows fewer grout lines. Large tiles want a flat, well-prepared substrate.
The matte face has no sheen, so Elements Stone does not throw glare and keeps footprints and water spots out of sight. The color runs through the body of the tile, so a chip shows the same tone instead of a light clay base. Shade variation is moderate: tone and pattern change from piece to piece, as in natural material. Del Conca rates the face at 0.42 DCOF wet or better, which meets the ANSI A326.3 minimum for level interior floors that get wet.
The edges are rectified, cut square after firing, so the tile can be set with a narrow grout joint. It ships in full boxes of 15.5 sq ft (2 pieces), roughly 61 lb each.
