Product Description
Essential Beige is a 4x12 porcelain tile with a concrete look in a matte finish, 8.5 mm (5/16 inch) thick.
Essential is a plain cement look with a faint iridescent sheen that shows when light rakes across it. The rectified, colored body porcelain runs from 24x48 to 4x12 in Beige, Gray, Graphite and White, with a Design decor, two mosaics and a bullnose.
The 4x12 is a small rectangle for walls and floors: run it as a subway, stack it, or set it in a herringbone.
In matte, the porcelain tile reads soft and natural under any light and keeps smudges from showing. The color runs through the body of the tile, so a chip shows the same tone instead of a light clay base. Shade variation is moderate: tone and pattern change from piece to piece, as in natural material. Del Conca rates the face at 0.42 DCOF wet or better, which meets the ANSI A326.3 minimum for level interior floors that get wet.
Every piece is rectified, so the edges are straight and true and the grout lines can stay thin. Sold by the box: one box covers 11.65 sq ft in 36 pieces and weighs about 46 lb.
