Do You Have a Fabricator?

Slabs can only be shipped to a licensed fabricator for unloading. We don't recommend shipping slabs to job sites or to non-fabricators. Before requesting samples, make sure you have a fabricator to handle your slabs.

Slabs Are Heavy and Delicate

Special care is required when shipping slabs. There are two shipping methods:

  • Truck with an A-Frame: Check with your fabricator to see if they are equipped to pick up the slab from our facility where it is located. Your fabricator should contact us to confirm availability and pricing before you order samples. We deliver within 50 miles of the warehouse directly to licensed fabricators only (no job site deliveries).
  • LTL Shipments by Crate: If your fabricator is more than 50 miles from our slab warehouse, they should ask about pricing for crating and shipping. Please contact us for crating charges and confirm freight costs before ordering slab samples.
  • Slabs should be handled only by the people listed above. We are not responsible for any damage or liability from slab handling.
  • Preparation and shipment of slab samples may take 6-9 business days.

Gabana Quartzite with Layered Movement

Gabana is a honed quartzite slab with a pale white and gray ground crossed by layered mineral lines. Quartzite is metamorphic sandstone and is harder than marble. This random-size slab has a substantial 1 1/4 thickness for residential countertops and interior wall installations.

Design

Horizontal Layers Under White Fractures

Through the center, thin gray and taupe bands travel mostly from side to side, bending gently as they pass through cloudy ivory areas. The drawing is intricate. Bright white fractures descend from the top and cut across the horizontal layers, while fine dark lines and small warm beige patches add detail near the lower edge. Honing softens the contrast and reflection.

Layered direction

Most mineral bands run horizontally, with gentle curves that resemble compressed natural strata.

Crossing fractures

Narrow white lines move vertically and diagonally through the softer gray layers.

Where to use it

Long Grain for Countertop Layouts

On kitchen countertops, the side-to-side movement can follow a long run, while the crossing white lines keep the design from feeling striped. Bathroom countertops gain similar depth at a smaller scale. The pattern rewards planning. Residential and commercial interior walls provide enough area for the layered structure to read clearly, especially when adjacent cuts are considered together.

Layout matters

A fabricator can position the horizontal bands and brighter fractures around the main visible areas.

Random sizing

Available slabs vary in dimension, so measurements should be checked before final fabrication.

Why we chose it

  • Two-way movementHorizontal mineral layers meet brighter crossing lines, giving the pale stone a complex natural structure.
  • Closest natural matchA batch consists of slabs cut from one block, and pieces within it generally coordinate most closely.
  • Photo-based selectionEach slab has unique markings, so buyers can review the current photos and request a quote for chosen pieces.
