Mod Slate Beige is a 4x12 matte porcelain bullnose trim piece with a beige slate look and a straight-cut edge. Its elongated shape carries the warm, mineral-like coloring of Mod Slate into a narrow finishing format. The matte face keeps the trim visually connected to the field tile and mosaic in the same line.
The 4x12 proportions form measured border runs without the busier rhythm of a small mosaic. V3 shade variation allows noticeable shifts in tone and pattern between pieces, so the trim retains the varied appearance associated with slate. As a bullnose, it provides a finished profile along exposed tile edges and transitions, while the straight-cut geometry maintains a clean alignment through longer runs. Its 9 mm, or 3/8 inch, thickness matches the dimensions established for the series.
Water absorption is 0.5% or less, qualifying the porcelain as impervious because it absorbs almost no water. Minimum breaking strength is 325 pounds, comfortably above the 250-pound ANSI requirement applied to floor tile. A Mohs hardness of 7 indicates resistance to scratching from grit and sand, and the surface carries Class III abrasion resistance. Chemical resistance is Class A. The porcelain is also resistant to frost and thermal shock.
This bullnose is sold individually, with 15 pieces packed in an 18-pound box. The same Beige line includes a 12x24 tile and 2x2 mosaic. Matching 4x12 matte bullnose pieces are also offered in Gray and Charcoal.
