Mod Slate Beige is a 12x24 matte porcelain tile with a warm beige slate look and a straight-cut edge. Its subdued surface recalls layered stone without introducing the sheen of polished tile. The Mod Slate line carries this earthy character through coordinating field, mosaic, and trim formats.
The rectangular format creates broad, orderly fields across floors and walls, while the matte finish keeps reflected light soft. V3 shade variation produces noticeable differences from piece to piece, giving the surface a naturally varied appearance. It is rated for residential and commercial interior walls and floors, including shower walls and backsplashes, and suits bathrooms, kitchens, and living rooms. Its IW classification covers level indoor floors that become wet.
Water absorption of 0.5% or less makes this impervious porcelain, meaning it takes up almost no water. Breaking strength is at least 325 pounds, above the 250-pound ANSI benchmark for floor tile. Mohs hardness 7 resists scratching from grit and sand, while Class III abrasion resistance covers floors throughout a home. Chemical resistance is Class A. Wet DCOF is at least 0.42, meeting the threshold for level wet interior floors. The tile also resists frost and thermal shock.
Sold by the box with pricing shown per square foot, each 60-pound box contains 8 pieces covering 15.49 square feet. Beige also comes as a 2x2 mosaic and 4x12 bullnose, while the 12x24 matte tile is available in Gray and Charcoal.
