Product Description
Nature Calacatta Gold is a 12x24 porcelain tile with a marble look in a matte finish, 8.5 mm (5/16 inch) thick.
Nature reproduces eight well-known marbles, among them Calacatta Gold, Statuario, Carrara, Taj Mahal and the dark Belvedere. The rectified, colored body porcelain runs from 24x48 to 4x12 with mosaics and bullnose; four of the colors also come polished in 24x48.
The 12x24 rectangle can be laid straight, in a brick offset or in a one-third offset.
The matte face has no sheen, so Nature Calacatta Gold does not throw glare and keeps footprints and water spots out of sight. The color runs through the body of the tile, so a chip shows the same tone instead of a light clay base. Shade variation is moderate: tone and pattern change from piece to piece, as in natural material. Del Conca rates the face at 0.42 DCOF wet or better, which meets the ANSI A326.3 minimum for level interior floors that get wet.
Every piece is rectified, so the edges are straight and true and the grout lines can stay thin. Each box holds 8 pieces, 15.5 sq ft, about 61 lb, and orders round up to full boxes.
