Rectangular raw steel coffee table with storage
This rectangular coffee table is built in Turkey from 4 mm thick raw steel. It measures 36 inches wide, 24 inches deep and 12 inches high, with a matte finish in the brown tone of raw steel. The frame strips away anything superfluous and adds one practical idea: storage built into the bent legs.
Design
Bent legs that hold things
The legs are folded from solid steel into angular shapes, and the space inside them forms open storage compartments. Remotes, magazines, a throw blanket or other everyday things can go there, keeping the top clear while the geometric outline stays clean. A clear varnish coat protects the raw steel and preserves its natural character. Surface variations and small marks are part of the material and of how the table was made, and finely finished edges give the bent steel a refined look.
