Product Description
Terrazzo Black presents a 12x24 matte porcelain tile with a dark terrazzo look modeled on chips set into cement. The black field gives the scattered fragments strong definition, creating a dense, graphic surface without the reflection of a polished finish.
Across the 12x24 rectangle, the chip motif reads continuously while the straight-cut perimeter maintains an orderly grid. Each piece is 9 mm, or 3/8 inch, thick. Its V2 shade rating indicates gentle variation, so adjacent tiles remain closely related with modest changes in tone. Approved uses extend to residential and commercial interior floors and walls, light residential flooring, shower walls, and backsplashes in bathrooms, kitchens, and living rooms. The matte face has wet DCOF of at least 0.42, meeting the ANSI A326.3 threshold for level indoor floors that become wet.
The tile absorbs no more than 0.5% water and therefore qualifies as impervious porcelain, with almost no moisture entering from within. Breaking strength starts at 325 pounds, surpassing the 250-pound ANSI requirement for floor tile. Mohs hardness of 7.0 to 8.0 provides resistance to scratching from grit and sand. Its Class IV abrasion rating covers high-traffic residential and most commercial flooring. Class A chemical resistance is joined by frost and thermal shock resistance.
A box contains 8 tiles, provides 15.49 square feet, and weighs 60 pounds. It is sold by the box with the price shown per square foot. The same matte 12x24 format is available in White and Moca.
