Product Description
Arctic Style White is a 3 inch hexagon matte porcelain mosaic with a bright white, solid-color face and no veining. The six-sided pieces create a clearly defined geometric pattern without introducing another color. At 9 mm, or 3/8 inch, thick, the mosaic coordinates in profile with the line's porcelain field formats.
The 3 inch scale makes the hexagon pattern visible without overwhelming a compact bathroom or kitchen surface. A matte finish limits glare and gives the white a quieter presence, while V1 shade variation means neighboring pieces remain closely consistent in color. Rated areas include backsplashes, shower walls and floors, residential interior walls, and bathroom floors and walls.
Water absorption is 0.5% or less, so the mosaic qualifies as impervious porcelain and takes up almost no water. Its breaking strength reaches at least 425 pounds, which is well above the 250-pound ANSI A137.1 minimum for floor tile. Frost resistance and thermal shock resistance indicate successful performance under freezing tests and sudden changes in temperature.
The mosaic is sold by the sheet, with each sheet covering 0.84 square feet. Cartons contain 5 sheets and weigh 18 pounds. Other Arctic Style White formats include a 12x12 tile and a diamond mosaic, extending the same plain white palette from larger square surfaces to a sharper angular pattern.
