Product Description
Bergen White is a 24x48 porcelain tile with a stone look in a matte finish, 8.5 mm (5/16 inch) thick.
Bergen is a stone look made with Del Conca's Trace process, a dimensional glaze that gives the face a real, touchable texture. The color runs through the body, the edges are rectified, and the line covers 24x48 down to 4x12 with a Geometrie decor, mosaics and bullnose.
At 24x48 this is a large format, so a room needs fewer pieces and shows fewer grout lines. Large tiles want a flat, well-prepared substrate.
The Trace glaze gives the matte face a dimensional texture you can feel, not just a printed picture of stone. It is a colored body porcelain: the tint goes all the way through, which keeps chips and cut edges discreet. Del Conca rates the shade variation as moderate, so tone and veining move from one piece to the next. Its wet DCOF is 0.50 or higher, the ANSI threshold for level indoor floors exposed to water.
The edges are rectified, cut square after firing, so the tile can be set with a narrow grout joint. Each box holds 2 pieces, 15.5 sq ft, about 61 lb, and orders round up to full boxes.
