Calacatta Viola coffee tables, set of 2
This is a pair of designer coffee tables made from Calacatta Viola marble quarried in Turkey. The set is listed at 18 inches wide, 36 inches long and 14 inches high, with a polished finish. Each table is shaped by hand by Turkish marble specialists, and because the stone is natural, the two pieces in the set will never share the same pattern or colouring.
Design
Bold veining, warm brown tones
Calacatta Viola is a marble with assertive patterning. Thick, sweeping veins in deep brown and darker wine tones cross a lighter ground, and each piece reads almost like an abstract painting. This is a stone chosen to be the focal point of a living room rather than a quiet background. The polished surface brings out the depth of the veining and reflects light into the room. In a modern or minimal interior, where each piece carries visual weight, the pair works as a statement without extra styling. Next to plain upholstery, wood floors or a neutral rug, the brown veining adds warmth, and the two tops together show more of the stone than a single small table could.

Delivery and setup
Arriving in wooden crates
The tables arrive carefully packed in wooden crates. Solid marble is heavy, so plan for two people to unpack and place each piece. Set them on a level floor, and add soft pads under the bases to protect wood or tile floors. Each table should be lifted into position rather than slid, which protects both the floor and the edges of the stone.

Care
Calacatta Viola is a calcite marble with a polished surface. Like all marble it is a porous stone, so acidic drinks and cleaners can etch the polish and strong pigments can stain it if left to sit. Periodic resealing helps it resist stains, and how often depends on how much the tables are used.
