The fuller box of the two hexagons
Mina Sculpted is a hexagonal ceramic accent tile, 4 7/8 by 5, glazed in the same flat Cloud White as the rest of this group. Where it separates from its Reliefed counterpart is the box: 32 pieces, taking coverage to 2.56 square feet and pulling the order size down.
Design
Six sides, one colour
White glaze fired onto clay gives a surface with no print and no variation to manage, leaving the hexagon itself to make the impression. Edges arrive rounded. Thickness holds at 3/8 inch across every shape in the group, so a hexagon panel can butt against a rectangular field without a ridge between them. Rectangular ceramic tiles in this white run at 4x7 1/2 and 3x6.
Consistent body
3/8 inch on every shape here, which keeps mixed layouts flush.
Unprinted face
Nothing on the surface to repeat or mismatch across a wall.
Where to use it
Interior walls and the maths
The file records residential interior walls, and the living room as its room. Each piece covers 0.08 square feet, a box holds 32 and covers 2.56 square feet. Sixty square feet, waste allowance of 15 percent included, works out at 27 boxes, a shorter order than the other hexagon in this white.
Fewer boxes
32 pieces a box changes the count on any sizeable wall.
Cutting hexagons
A scoring cutter handles the straight sides; corners want measuring first.

Care
