Product Description
Eden Portland is a 24x48 porcelain tile with a marble look in a matte finish, 8.5 mm (5/16 inch) thick.
Eden is a marble look in four stones: Bianco Lasa, Calacatta Lincoln, the gray Portland and a deep Blue de Savoie. The color runs through the rectified porcelain body, and each shade has a lens mosaic, a 1-3/8 inch mosaic and a bullnose.
A 24x48 panel covers a lot of floor or wall in one piece and keeps grout lines to a minimum. Plan for a flat substrate and a leveling system.
Eden Portland has a matte, low-glare face that hides daily wear better than a shiny one. The color runs through the body of the tile, so a chip shows the same tone instead of a light clay base. Shade variation is moderate: tone and pattern change from piece to piece, as in natural material. Del Conca rates the face at 0.42 DCOF wet or better, which meets the ANSI A326.3 minimum for level interior floors that get wet.
The edges are rectified, cut square after firing, so the tile can be set with a narrow grout joint. Sold by the box: one box covers 15.5 sq ft in 2 pieces and weighs about 61 lb.
