Product Description
Essential Gray is a 24x48 porcelain tile with a concrete look in a matte finish, 8.5 mm (5/16 inch) thick.
Essential is a plain cement look with a faint iridescent sheen that shows when light rakes across it. The rectified, colored body porcelain runs from 24x48 to 4x12 in Beige, Gray, Graphite and White, with a Design decor, two mosaics and a bullnose.
A 24x48 panel covers a lot of floor or wall in one piece and keeps grout lines to a minimum. Plan for a flat substrate and a leveling system.
The matte face has no sheen, so Essential Gray does not throw glare and keeps footprints and water spots out of sight. It is a colored body porcelain: the tint goes all the way through, which keeps chips and cut edges discreet. Del Conca rates the shade variation as moderate, so tone and veining move from one piece to the next. Its wet DCOF is 0.42 or higher, the ANSI threshold for level indoor floors exposed to water.
Rectified edges, ground square after firing, allow a tight grout joint. Each box holds 2 pieces, 15.5 sq ft, about 61 lb, and orders round up to full boxes.
