How to Buy Slabs

Slabs are delivered only to a licensed fabricator. Review the delivery requirements before requesting samples.

Do You Have a Fabricator?

Slabs can only be shipped to a licensed fabricator for unloading. We don't recommend shipping slabs to job sites or to non-fabricators. Before requesting samples, make sure you have a fabricator to handle your slabs.

Slabs Are Heavy and Delicate

Special care is required when shipping slabs. There are two shipping methods:

Truck with an A-Frame: Check with your fabricator to see if they are equipped to pick up the slab from our facility where it is located. Your fabricator should contact us to confirm availability and pricing before you order samples. We deliver within 50 miles of the warehouse directly to licensed fabricators only (no job site deliveries).
LTL Shipments by Crate: If your fabricator is more than 50 miles from our slab warehouse, they should ask about pricing for crating and shipping. Please contact us for crating charges and confirm freight costs before ordering slab samples.
Slabs should be handled only by the people listed above. We are not responsible for any damage or liability from slab handling.
Preparation and shipment of slab samples may take 6-9 business days.

Quartzite · Slab

Malachite Green Leather Quartzite Slab Random is a metamorphic quartzite sold as full slabs in random sizes. This stone carries a leather finish that reads with a low sheen. Pricing for this slab comes by quote. Design

Green stone with leather texture

The stone presents a green color with natural veining that differs from one slab to the next. The leather finish combines a brushed texture with that low sheen. It hides water spots and fingerprints better than a polished face would. Light catches the texture and reveals the variation between slabs. The veining and size of each slab will differ. See the batch list for the sizes currently in stock.

Why we chose it

One batch availableWe hold four slabs from a single batch. Slabs from that batch match most closely.
Random sizes in stockThis slab is sold in random sizes. The batch list shows the specific sizes available.
Leather finish on quartziteThe leather finish hides water spots better than a polished face. Quartzite is harder than marble and resists etching.

Care

Quartzite resists etching far better than marble. It should still be sealed in kitchens and wet rooms. A licensed fabricator handles the installation and sealing.
