Product Description
Nature Carrara is a 12x24 porcelain tile with a marble look in a matte finish, 8.5 mm (5/16 inch) thick.
Nature reproduces eight well-known marbles, among them Calacatta Gold, Statuario, Carrara, Taj Mahal and the dark Belvedere. The rectified, colored body porcelain runs from 24x48 to 4x12 with mosaics and bullnose; four of the colors also come polished in 24x48.
The 12x24 rectangle can be laid straight, in a brick offset or in a one-third offset.
In matte, the porcelain tile reads soft and natural under any light and keeps smudges from showing. It is a colored body porcelain: the tint goes all the way through, which keeps chips and cut edges discreet. Del Conca rates the shade variation as moderate, so tone and veining move from one piece to the next. Its wet DCOF is 0.42 or higher, the ANSI threshold for level indoor floors exposed to water.
The edges are rectified, cut square after firing, so the tile can be set with a narrow grout joint. Each box holds 8 pieces, 15.5 sq ft, about 61 lb, and orders round up to full boxes.
Also in Nature Carrara: 24x24 tile, 24x48 tile, 4x12 tile, 4x24 bullnose, hexagon mosaic, square mosaic.
Made in the USA by Del Conca USA in Loudon, Tennessee, and shipped from there.
