Product Description
Navona Sabbia is a 24x48 porcelain tile with a travertine look in a matte finish, 8.5 mm (5/16 inch) thick.
Navona is a classic travertine look, pores and banding included, in Sabbia, Grigio and Bianco. The rectified glazed porcelain comes in 24x48, 12x24 and 4x12, with a mosaic, a Muretto wall tile and a bullnose.
At 24x48 this is a large format, so a room needs fewer pieces and shows fewer grout lines. Large tiles want a flat, well-prepared substrate.
In matte, the porcelain tile reads soft and natural under any light and keeps smudges from showing. Shade variation is moderate: tone and pattern change from piece to piece, as in natural material. Del Conca rates the face at 0.42 DCOF wet or better, which meets the ANSI A326.3 minimum for level interior floors that get wet.
The edges are rectified, cut square after firing, so the tile can be set with a narrow grout joint. Sold by the box: one box covers 15.5 sq ft in 2 pieces and weighs about 61 lb.
