Product Description
New England Cold Gray is a 24x24 porcelain tile with a stone look in a matte finish, 8.5 mm (5/16 inch) thick.
New England is a soft, even stone look in White, Ivory, Cold Gray and Anthracite. The rectified, colored body porcelain runs from 24x48 to 4x12, with a herringbone mosaic, a brick mosaic, a square mosaic and a bullnose.
Lay the 24x24 square in a grid, a quarter offset or on the diagonal.
The matte face has no sheen, so New England Cold Gray does not throw glare and keeps footprints and water spots out of sight. It is a colored body porcelain: the tint goes all the way through, which keeps chips and cut edges discreet. Del Conca rates the shade variation as moderate, so tone and veining move from one piece to the next. Its wet DCOF is 0.42 or higher, the ANSI threshold for level indoor floors exposed to water.
The edges are rectified, cut square after firing, so the tile can be set with a narrow grout joint. Sold by the box: one box covers 23.25 sq ft in 6 pieces and weighs about 92 lb.
