This wall-mount sink is carved from a single block of black marble quarried in Turkey. The stone is a deep black crossed by natural white veining, and the sink carries a matching marble backsplash that rises against the wall behind the basin. It measures 15 inches wide, 33 inches long and 6 inches high. Hung on the wall, it floats above the floor with no cabinet below, which frees up floor space, makes the floor easier to clean and leaves room for lighting under the sink if wanted. The black surface and white lines give the room a strong graphic anchor, and the long, narrow proportions keep that presence from overwhelming a smaller bathroom.
Design
Polished black, white veins
The sink is polished on both the interior and the exterior. The glossy finish deepens the black and makes the white veining stand out sharply, and it gives the surface a smooth, reflective face. Every piece is different: the white lines and the patterns they form vary distinctly from one sink to the next, and moderate variation in tone is normal for this stone. The edges are curved and the construction is smooth, so there are no tight corners where dirt can build up. The backsplash is part of the same marble composition, which gives the basin and the wall behind it one continuous look and protects the wall from splashes. The 15 by 33 inch proportions fit a wide range of bathroom layouts. A depth of 15 inches keeps the sink from projecting far into the room, which matters in a powder room or a narrow bath, while the 33 inch length gives space around the basin for everyday items. Mounting on the wall removes the visual weight of a cabinet and gives a lighter, more open feel in powder rooms and primary baths alike. The same sink can also be installed above a vanity if storage is needed beneath it. Black marble pairs well with brass, nickel or matte black fittings, pale walls and warm wood, and its strong color makes it a natural focal point. Installation
Prepare the wall first
Solid marble is heavy, and a wall-mounted sink with a backsplash needs solid backing. Blocking should be fitted between the studs at the mounting height, ideally while the wall is open, so the brackets have something strong to fix into. The faucet needs to be planned at the same stage: a wall-mounted faucet needs its supply lines inside the wall at the right height above the basin, and a deck faucet needs its position agreed before the sink goes up. If the sink is set above a vanity instead, the top must be flat, level and strong. A professional installer is recommended for the weight and for a clean fit of the drain and supply lines.

Care
This black stone is a porous calcite marble, so acids can etch its polished surface and dull the shine, and sealing slows the absorption of liquids. It should be sealed at installation, and how often it is resealed depends on how much the bathroom is used.
