Toros Black, polished and combed
This round vessel sink is hand-carved from solid Toros Black marble quarried in Turkey. It pairs two finishes on one piece of stone: a polished interior and a combed, rough-textured exterior. It is 16 inches in diameter and 6 inches high. Each sink is carved individually, so colour variation, grain and character differ from piece to piece.
Design
Two finishes on one bowl
Most vessel sinks keep to a single surface. This one uses two. Inside, the basin is polished mirror-smooth, with no hidden corners for soap residue or mineral buildup to settle in. Outside, the stone is combed into a rough, raked texture that catches light in fine lines and gives the bowl real depth, avoiding the flat gloss of a fully polished sink. The contrast also shows the marble in two ways: deep and reflective inside, matte and textured outside. The walls are 2 to 3 cm thick, solid black marble from rim to base. Moderate colour variation is normal, and the grain of each sink is its own.
Polished interior
A mirror-smooth basin with no corners to collect soap or minerals.
Combed exterior
A rough, raked texture carved into the outside of the bowl.
Where to use it
Proportioned for a standard vanity
At 16 inches in diameter and 6 inches tall, the bowl has presence on a standard bathroom vanity without overwhelming it, and it holds enough water for a morning routine without splashing. The black stone and textured sides pair well with light counters, warm wood, concrete and brass or black fixtures. As an above-counter vessel it keeps installation simple, with no undermount work. The 4 cm drain hole takes standard drain fittings.

Installation
Set it on a flat counter
Solid marble is heavy, so the counter must be flat, level and strong. A drain hole is cut in the counter to line up with the 4 cm drain, and the bowl is set in silicone. Because it stands 6 inches above the counter, the faucet must reach over the rim: a tall deck-mounted vessel faucet or a wall-mounted faucet. Choose the faucet before the counter is cut.

The 3 to 4 week option ships sooner, while the 8 to 14 week option is the lower-priced choice. The standard size fits most vanities, and custom sizes, shapes and finishes are also available. Care
Toros Black is a calcite marble, and like all marble it is porous: acids such as vinegar or lemon juice can etch or discolour the stone, and sealing helps repel moisture. How often it is resealed depends on use, typically once or twice a year.
