Product Description
Quartzite Sand is a 12x24 porcelain tile with a stone look in a matte finish, 8.5 mm (5/16 inch) thick.
Quartzite is modeled on Brazilian quartzite, a layered stone with fine, sparkling grain. The rectified, colored body porcelain comes in Bianco, Sand, Gray and Dark Gray, with a Grip 12x24 for wet floors, a Muretto wall tile, a mosaic and a bullnose.
The 12x24 rectangle can be laid straight, in a brick offset or in a one-third offset.
The matte face has no sheen, so Quartzite Sand does not throw glare and keeps footprints and water spots out of sight. The color runs through the body of the tile, so a chip shows the same tone instead of a light clay base. Shade variation is moderate: tone and pattern change from piece to piece, as in natural material. Del Conca rates the face at 0.42 DCOF wet or better, which meets the ANSI A326.3 minimum for level interior floors that get wet.
Every piece is rectified, so the edges are straight and true and the grout lines can stay thin. It ships in full boxes of 15.5 sq ft (8 pieces), roughly 61 lb each.
