Product Description
Sculpture Gold is a 2x2 matte porcelain mosaic with a white Calacatta inspired field and warm gold veining. The small square pattern breaks the bold marble movement into compact sections, bringing more frequent joints and a finer visual texture than the larger tiles in the collection.
Each 2x2 piece keeps the design at an intimate scale, while the matte finish reduces shine under direct room lighting. V3 shade variation produces noticeable changes across individual pieces and sheets, so the surface does not appear mechanically uniform. This mosaic is rated for backsplashes, residential interior walls, shower walls, shower floors, and bathroom floors and walls.
Water absorption is 0.5% or less, meeting the ANSI A137.1 definition of impervious porcelain. In practical terms, the body takes up almost no water and will not stain from within. Breaking strength is at least 425 pounds, substantially above the 250 pound ANSI requirement for floor tile. Frost resistance and thermal shock resistance are both confirmed.
The mosaic is sold by the sheet, and each sheet covers 0.97 square feet. Boxes contain 10 sheets and weigh 38 pounds. Within the Sculpture Gold line, related formats include 12x24 and 24x48 tiles, a 4 inch hexagon mosaic, and a 4x12 bullnose for matching larger fields and trim details.
