Black marble, floating on the wall
This rectangular sink is carved individually from solid black marble quarried in Turkey. The deep black stone carries white and gray veining, and since every sink comes from its own block, no two pieces are identical. It measures 30 inches long, 17 inches wide and 6 inches high. Hung on the wall, it frees the floor a vanity would take, and the open space underneath makes a compact powder room or guest bath feel larger. The same sink can also sit on top of a vanity when storage is needed.
Design
Polished black with white veining
The polished surface does two jobs. It shows off the depth of the black and the fine white and gray veining that runs through it, and it gives a smooth, closed face that is easy to keep clean day to day. Black marble also hides water spots better than pale marble, so the sink looks tidy between cleanings. The rectangle is cut from one piece of stone, with no joints or seams to fail over time, and the clean lines work in a contemporary, minimalist bathroom as well as in a traditional room that wants a quiet, dark accent. Natural variation is part of the stone: moderate differences in tone and veining between sinks are normal. With age, marble develops a patina that adds to its character rather than taking from it.

Where to use it
Made for compact bathrooms
Mounted directly to the wall with no vanity below, the sink leaves the floor open, which makes cleaning easier since there is no enclosed cabinet to collect dust. For powder rooms, guest bathrooms and primary bath renovations where a sense of space matters more than storage, it is a practical layout. Wall mounting also lets the sink be set at the height that suits the people using it, which helps with different preferences and accessibility needs. At 30 by 17 inches the basin is roomy for a sink that takes no floor space. The 1.77 inch drain hole takes standard fittings, and a 1 inch clearance underneath leaves room for the mounting brackets. If storage is needed after all, the same sink can sit on top of a vanity with a deck faucet beside it.

Installation
Solid backing for solid stone
Solid marble is heavy, so a wall-mount installation needs blocking between the studs at the mounting height, ideally added while the wall is open. The sink hangs on brackets fixed into that blocking, using the 1 inch clearance under the sink. Plan the faucet early: a wall-mounted faucet needs its supply lines placed in the wall at the right height above the basin. For an above-vanity installation, the vanity top must be flat, level and strong, and the sink is set in silicone. A professional installer is recommended for the weight and to line up the drain and supply lines.

Care
Black marble is a porous calcite stone, so acids can etch the polished surface and spills can stain it if left to set. An impregnating sealer gives time to deal with spills, and how often it is reapplied depends on use, typically once a year or when water no longer beads on the surface.
