Product Description
Tuxedo Black and White comes in a 2x2 matte porcelain mosaic with a solid-color black and white pattern. The contrasting pieces form a crisp small-scale field, and the matte surface keeps reflections subdued across both colors. Its 9 mm, or 3/8 inch, thickness aligns the mosaic with the broader Tuxedo collection.
At 2x2, the compact pattern creates frequent visual divisions that give backsplashes and bathroom surfaces a detailed geometric cadence. The V1 shade rating indicates very limited variation within the black and white colors, preserving clear contrast from piece to piece. Rated uses include backsplashes, shower walls, residential interior walls, shower floors, and bathroom floors and walls. The application range covers bathroom and kitchen settings.
This porcelain has water absorption of 0.5% or less, which makes it impervious and means it absorbs almost no moisture. Breaking strength is at least 325 pounds, comfortably above the 250-pound ANSI benchmark for floor tile. Wet DCOF reaches at least 0.42, satisfying the ANSI requirement for level indoor floors that may get wet. The mosaic is also resistant to frost and thermal shock.
Sheets are sold individually, and each 38-pound box contains 10 pieces. The Black and White design is also offered as a 3 inch hexagon mosaic and a diamond mosaic. Within the same 2x2 format, coordinating alternatives include Obsidian Black matte and Obsidian Black polished.
