Product Description
Tuxedo Black and White is a diamond pattern matte porcelain mosaic with a contrasting solid-color composition and 9 mm, or 3/8 inch, thickness. Black and white sections accent the pointed geometry, producing a directional surface with clear tonal separation. Its two-color design also appears in other mosaic shapes within a collection centered on solid Obsidian Black tile.
Diamond pieces form intersecting diagonal paths that give walls and floors a more active visual pace. The matte finish reduces sharp reflections, helping the black and white pattern remain distinct under varied room lighting. V1 variation signals minimal shade change from piece to piece. The mosaic is rated for backsplashes, shower walls and floors, residential interior walls, and bathroom floors and walls.
Absorption of 0.5% or less qualifies this material as impervious porcelain, which means almost no water enters the tile body. Its breaking strength is at least 325 pounds, exceeding the ANSI A137.1 floor-tile minimum of 250 pounds. Wet DCOF measures at least 0.42 and meets ANSI A326.3 for level indoor floors exposed to water. The tile is also resistant to frost and thermal shock.
Sales are by the sheet, and a single sheet accounts for 0.84 square foot. Five sheets are contained in each 16-pound box. Black and White can also be found in 2x2 and 3 inch hexagon mosaics, while the diamond format is offered in Obsidian Black matte and Obsidian Black polished.
