Carrara White carved into a wave
This vessel sink is hand-carved from Carrara White marble quarried in Turkey and shaped with a flowing, wave-like silhouette. It sits above the counter as a sculptural piece, and the soft white stone with its gray veining reads as calm rather than showy. Each sink is carved individually, so the veining pattern on every piece is its own. At 24 inches long, 14 inches wide and 6 inches high, it gives a vanity a clear focal point while staying practical for daily washing.
Design
A wave in polished marble
The outline of the bowl rises and falls like a wave, a shape that comes from carving rather than molding. The refined curves and smooth edges, inside and out, reflect hours of work by a stone carver, not uniform machine cutting. The finish is polished, which catches the light and brings the gray veining forward against the white. Polished marble sheds water and resists moisture absorption well when it is sealed, so the sink is as practical as it looks. The walls are 2 to 3 cm thick, carved from one piece of stone. Because Carrara White is natural, the exact tone and the swirl of the veins differ from sink to sink, and that variation is part of what makes the piece unique.

Where to use it
Calm enough for many bathrooms
The wave shape sits comfortably in modern, contemporary, traditional and transitional bathrooms. Against a warm wood vanity with brass fittings, the white marble feels soft and lived in; with black fittings and white tile, it looks crisp and graphic. The 14 by 24 inch footprint fits a standard vanity, and the 6 inch height gives the bowl enough depth for everyday use. The basin has no overflow, which keeps the interior clean and uninterrupted and gives the most usable space for washing. The 4 cm drain hole is a standard size that connects to typical bathroom plumbing.

Installation
Set it on a level counter
The sink installs over the countertop. Solid marble is heavy, so the counter must be flat, level and strong. A hole is cut in the counter to line up with the 4 cm drain, and the bowl is set in silicone. The rim stands 6 inches above the counter, so the faucet must reach over it: a tall vessel faucet or a wall-mounted spout. With no overflow, use a vessel drain without one. Choose the faucet before the counter is cut so everything lines up.

Care
Carrara White is a porous calcite marble, so acidic cleaners can etch its polished surface and mineral deposits can build up if water is left to dry on it. With sealing, it lasts for generations, and how often it is resealed depends on use, commonly about once a year.
