Product Description
Ivorynn Stone Sahara Sand comes in a 3 inch matte porcelain mosaic with a hexagon pattern and travertine look. Beige stone bands and vein details flow across raised digital texture, bringing depth to the six-sided pieces.
The 3 inch hexagons create an angular network of joints that breaks the linear travertine image into a geometric surface. A 9 mm thickness matches the rest of the series, and the matte finish keeps the relief from becoming highly reflective. Substantial V4 variation changes the color and graphics among pieces, avoiding a repeated, uniform appearance. This mosaic is rated for kitchen backsplashes, residential interior and shower walls, shower floors, and bathroom floors and walls.
No more than 0.5% water absorption makes the porcelain impervious, with almost no moisture entering the tile body. Breaking strength is at least 425 pounds, above the ANSI A137.1 minimum of 250 pounds for floor tile. At Mohs 7, the surface resists scratching from sand and grit. Additional characteristics include Class E chemical resistance plus resistance to frost and thermal shock.
The mosaic is sold by the sheet, and each sheet covers 0.84 square feet. Five sheets form an 18-pound box. Coordinating Sahara Sand pieces include 24x48 tile and 2x2 mosaic, while the 3 inch hexagon is also available in Caramel Noce matte and Riverstone Grey matte.
