Product Description
Marmi de Rosso Viola Red is a 12x24 matte porcelain tile with a red marble look. Its creamy white ground is crossed by reddish brown veining modeled on Viola marble. The restrained matte finish keeps the strong contrast readable without a glossy reflection, while the tile's 9 mm, or 3/8 inch, body gives the pattern a substantial field format.
The rectangular proportions carry the veining in a clear direction across a wall or floor. Rectified edges sharpen the perimeter of each piece, and V3 shade variation introduces noticeable changes in pattern and color between tiles. It is rated for residential and commercial interior floors and walls, shower walls, backsplashes, and light residential floors, supporting bathroom, kitchen, and living room surfaces.
A maximum water absorption of 0.5% classifies the tile as impervious porcelain, meaning its body takes up almost no water. Breaking strength is at least 425 pounds, comfortably exceeding the 250-pound ANSI A137.1 threshold for floor tile. Resistant frost and thermal shock performance indicates that the material withstands freezing exposure and abrupt temperature shifts in the applicable tests.
The 12x24 format is sold by the box, with price shown per square foot. Eight tiles cover 15.38 square feet, and the box weighs 67 pounds. Other Marmi de Rosso formats include a 24x48 tile, 8x48 plank, 2x2 mosaic, and 3 inch hexagon mosaic.
