Product Description
Marmi de Rosso Viola Red is a 12x24 polished porcelain tile with a dramatic marble look. Reddish brown veins travel across a creamy white base, translating the appearance of Viola marble into a rectangular format. The polished face catches light and makes the contrast between the pale field and darker red-family markings more apparent.
The 12x24 dimensions provide a medium rectangular scale for bathroom, kitchen, and living room surfaces. V3 shade variation indicates noticeable differences in tone and pattern from tile to tile, so the finished area has active stone-like movement. Each tile has rectified edges and a thickness of 9 mm, or 3/8 inch. Approved applications include residential and commercial interior walls, shower walls, backsplashes, and light-duty residential floors.
Absorption is limited to 0.5% or less, qualifying the tile as impervious porcelain under ANSI A137.1. Because it takes up almost no water, moisture does not readily penetrate the body and cause staining from within. Breaking strength measures at least 425 pounds, exceeding the 250-pound ANSI floor-tile minimum. Resistance to frost and thermal shock adds two further material performance characteristics without changing its specified interior applications.
It is sold by the box, with the displayed price calculated per square foot. Eight tiles cover 15.38 square feet, and a full box weighs 67 pounds. The Viola Red collection also offers a 24x48 tile, 8x48 plank, 3 inch hexagon mosaic, and sphere mosaic.
