Product Description
Marmi de Rosso Viola Red takes the form of an 8x48 polished wood look porcelain plank with marble-look coloring. A creamy white ground is animated by reddish brown veins inspired by Viola marble, giving the narrow rectangle stone character rather than wood grain. The plank has rectified edges and measures 9 mm, or 3/8 inch, thick.
Its elongated 8x48 shape draws the eye along the direction of the veining, while the polished finish reflects light across the narrow surface. V3 shade variation creates visible changes between pieces, so repeated planks retain a varied appearance. It is rated for residential and commercial interior walls, backsplashes, shower walls, and light residential floors in bathroom, kitchen, and living room settings.
A water absorption rate of 0.5% or less meets the ANSI A137.1 definition of impervious porcelain. This means the tile body takes up almost no water, supporting its rated shower-wall application. Breaking strength is at least 425 lb, well beyond the 250 lb ANSI minimum established for floor tile. The plank is resistant to frost and to thermal shock.
Sold by the box with pricing shown per square foot, each carton contains 5 planks. A 56 lb box covers 12.78 square feet. The Viola Red series also includes 12x24 and 24x48 tiles, a 2x2 mosaic, and a sphere mosaic.
