A round black marble pedestal
This pedestal sink is handcrafted from black marble quarried in Turkey. A 20 inch round basin sits on a tapered column, and the whole piece stands 33.5 inches high. The veining and natural character marks of the stone make every sink one of a kind.
Design
A basin on a tapered column
The sink is made of two solid stone pieces: the round basin and the column below it. The column narrows from 8 inches at the base to 6 inches at the top. Both pieces are polished inside and out, so water sheets cleanly across the surface instead of pooling, and the smooth basin edges leave no crevices for debris. The walls are 2 to 3 cm thick. Moderate colour variation is normal for black marble.

Where to use it
For powder rooms and guest baths
The slim column saves floor space in powder rooms and guest baths. The style is traditional, and the black stone makes the sink a clear focal point. The 4 cm drain hole comes with a removable drain cap that doubles as a design detail.

Installation
A level floor and planned pipes
The sink stands on the floor, and solid marble is heavy, so the floor must be level and strong. Plumbing can come from the wall or the floor. Plan the faucet early. A professional installer is recommended.

This pedestal is made to order on two schedules, both in the 20 inch size with a polished finish. The 3 to 4 week option ships sooner, while the 8 to 14 week option is the lower-priced choice. Care
Black marble is a porous calcite stone, so acids can etch the polished surface and sealing helps it resist water and stains. How often it is resealed depends on use, typically every year or so.
