A polished travertine corner vessel
This vessel sink is carved by hand from light beige travertine quarried in Turkey. Its triangular corner shape is the defining detail: the sink fits into the angle of a vanity or counter and leaves the rest of the surface free. It measures 16 inches wide, 16 inches long and 6 inches high, and it is polished, giving the light stone a soft gloss. Each piece is sculpted individually from hand-selected stone, so the natural veining and subtle color variations differ from sink to sink.
Design
A triangle with soft curves
The corner form pairs straight sides with soft curves, which bridges a modern bathroom and a classic, spa-like one. The polished finish brings out the veining of the travertine and keeps the basin smooth for daily cleaning. The edges are curved, so there are no harsh corners where dirt can accumulate. Travertine is a layered stone, and its natural veining shows clearly on the polished surface. Moderate color variation between pieces is normal, and those differences are markers of natural stone, not flaws.

A standard 1.5 inch drain hole takes conventional drain fittings.

Installation
Set it on a stable top
The sink sits on top of the counter. The vanity top must be flat, level and strong enough to carry solid stone, and a drain hole is cut to line up with the drain before the sink is set in silicone. Because the rim stands 6 inches above the counter, the faucet must reach over it: a tall deck-mounted vessel faucet or a wall-mounted spout. Measure the corner and choose the faucet before the counter is cut, so the sink and the faucet line up.

Care
Travertine is a porous calcite stone, made of calcium carbonate, so acids such as vinegar can etch the polished surface. Sealing protects it from water absorption and staining, and how often it is resealed depends on use.
