Noce brown travertine, a round vessel bowl
This round vessel sink is individually handcrafted from Noce travertine quarried in Turkey. Noce is the warm brown travertine, and each bowl carries its own mix of tones and veining, so no two sinks are identical. The color sits easily in both contemporary and traditional bathrooms, and over the years the stone develops its own character as it ages. At 16 inches in diameter and 6 inches high, it is a compact, well-proportioned bowl that gives a vanity a clear focal point without taking over the counter.
Design
A warm brown, honed and filled
The surface is honed and filled. Honing leaves the stone smooth and matte, with a soft texture that shows the depth of the brown rather than reflecting it away. Filling closes the natural pits of the travertine, so dirt has fewer places to settle and daily cleaning is simpler. The bowl is round, with walls 2 to 3 cm thick, carved from a single piece of stone. Like all handcrafted stone, it shows natural color variation and veining patterns that a production line cannot copy, and moderate variation from one sink to the next is normal. That is the signature of handwork: Each stone vessel is unique, closer to an individual object than a catalog fixture. Over time the patina deepens, and the natural variation in the stone becomes more pronounced with use.

A featured object on the vanity
Vessel sinks sit on top of the counter rather than under it, so the bowl itself becomes the decorative piece, a featured object on the vanity. That suits a bathroom where a distinctive color or shape is the point. The 16 inch round size works in a powder room, a guest bath or a primary bathroom, and it fits a remodel as well as a new build. Installation is simpler than an undermount sink: no large countertop cutout is needed, only a drain hole and enough clearance for the faucet. That makes the bowl a practical choice for updating an existing vanity, since the counter needs only minor work. The 4 cm drain opening takes standard drain assemblies and works with most vessel faucets.

Installation
Set it on a flat counter
Solid travertine is heavy, so the counter must be flat, level and strong enough to carry it. A drain hole is cut in the counter to line up with the 4 cm drain, and the bowl is set in silicone. Because the rim stands 6 inches above the counter, the faucet must reach over it: a tall vessel faucet or a wall-mounted spout. Choose the faucet before the counter is cut, and check the combined height of vanity and bowl so the rim sits at a comfortable height for daily use.

Care
Travertine is a porous calcite stone, so acidic cleaners such as vinegar can etch the honed surface. Resealing keeps water and stains from soaking in, and how often depends on use, typically every 6 months to a year.
