Product Description
Pietra Marme de Milano White 2x2 polished porcelain mosaic divides a white marble look into compact square pieces. A dense tracery of fine gray veins, influenced by Invisible Gray marble, moves across the light ground. The polished surface gives the small modules a brighter presence, while the square grid brings order to the active stone pattern.
Each 2x2 unit shows only a close crop of the veining, so the overall design develops through many small shifts across the sheet. V3 shade variation adds discernible changes in tone and pattern among pieces. The mosaic measures 9 mm, or 3/8 inch, thick and is rated for backsplashes, shower walls, and residential interior walls. Those approved placements address kitchen and bathroom wall surfaces, but do not include floor applications.
With water absorption capped at 0.5%, this mosaic meets the ANSI A137.1 definition of impervious porcelain. In room terms, the porcelain body absorbs almost no water. Breaking strength is at least 425 pounds, surpassing the 250-pound threshold ANSI sets for floor tile. The product is resistant to frost and to thermal shock.
This format is sold one sheet at a time. Each sheet covers 0.97 square feet, while a 38-pound box holds 10 pieces. The White collection continues in 12x24 and 24x48 field tile, along with 3 inch hexagon and craft hexagon mosaics.
