Product Description
Pietra Marme de Milano White takes the form of a 3 inch polished porcelain mosaic with a marble look. Fine gray veins form a dense web over the white ground, echoing the complex drawing found in Invisible Gray marble. Regular hexagons segment that pattern into six-sided pieces, adding clear geometry without obscuring the veining.
Polishing increases light reflection and gives the gray lines stronger definition across the small pieces. V3 shade variation brings noticeable changes in tone and pattern throughout a sheet, while the 3 inch scale creates more visual activity than the larger tiles in the series. At 9 mm, or 3/8 inch, thick, this mosaic is rated for backsplashes, shower walls, and residential interior walls in bathrooms and kitchens.
Its absorption rate is 0.5% or less, so it qualifies as impervious porcelain under ANSI A137.1 and takes up almost no water. Breaking strength is no less than 425 pounds, compared with the ANSI floor-tile benchmark of 250 pounds. The porcelain is rated resistant to frost and resistant to thermal shock.
Individual sheets provide 0.84 square feet of coverage and are sold by the sheet. Each box holds five sheets and weighs 18 pounds. Related white formats include 12x24 and 24x24 tiles, a 2x2 mosaic, and a craft hexagon mosaic.
