Product Description
Taj Opus Mirage Sand 4 inch hexagon matte porcelain mosaic brings a beige marble look to a geometric format. Fine shimmer and stone-like movement recall Taj Mahal stone, giving each sheet a softly varied surface rather than a flat field of color.
The 4 inch hexagons create a larger, calmer pattern than small mosaics, while the matte finish keeps reflections subdued. V3 shade variation produces noticeable differences among pieces, helping the marble effect move across the surface. This mosaic is rated for backsplashes, residential walls, shower walls, shower floors, and bathroom floors and walls.
Water absorption is 0.5% or less, the ANSI A137.1 threshold for impervious porcelain, so the body takes up almost no water. Breaking strength is at least 425 pounds, well above the 250-pound ANSI benchmark for floor tile. Wet DCOF is at least 0.42, meeting the ANSI A326.3 benchmark for level indoor floors exposed to water. The mosaic is also resistant to frost and thermal shock and carries Class E chemical resistance.
It is sold by the sheet, with each sheet covering 0.89 square feet. A box contains 5 sheets and weighs 18 pounds. Mirage Sand also comes as 12x24, 24x24, and 24x48 tile, plus a 2x2 mosaic.
