Product Description
Taj Opus Mirage Sand is a 12x24 matte porcelain tile featuring a beige marble look. Warm Mirage Sand coloring softens the visual movement associated with Taj Mahal stone, while a fine shimmer adds dimension without turning the surface glossy. Its elongated proportions give the veining a clear path across bathroom, kitchen, and living-room surfaces.
The 12x24 rectangle can produce a steady directional pattern, supported by rectified edges and a 9 mm, or 3/8 inch, thickness. Matte texture controls glare, and V3 shade variation means visible changes in beige tone and stone markings should occur from one tile to another. Ratings include residential and commercial interior floors and walls, shower walls, backsplashes, and light-duty residential floors. Its ANSI A326.3 ID class denotes level indoor floors that are kept dry.
At 0.5% or less water absorption, the tile meets the definition of impervious porcelain, taking in almost no water and resisting stains that originate within the body. Breaking strength is at least 425 pounds, comfortably above ANSI's 250-pound floor-tile minimum. Wet DCOF of 0.42 or more satisfies the ANSI A326.3 benchmark for level indoor floors subject to water. Class E chemical resistance is joined by frost and thermal-shock resistance.
Eight pieces cover 15.38 square feet and weigh 67 pounds per box. The tile is sold by the box, while the displayed price is per square foot. Mirage Sand is also offered as 24x24 tile, 24x48 tile, and a 2x2 mosaic. Emperial Grey matte provides another 12x24 color.
