Product Description
Taj Opus Mirage Sand is a 12x24 polished porcelain tile with a beige marble look and a fine, light-catching shimmer. Its stone-inspired pattern draws from the soft movement of Taj Mahal stone, while the polished face gives the pale color greater depth and reflection.
The rectangular proportions support offset or aligned visual rhythms without the broad scale of the larger formats. Rectified edges create a crisp outline, and the 9 mm, or 3/8 inch, thickness gives the tile a substantial profile. V3 variation means tone and veining change noticeably from piece to piece. It is rated for light residential floors, residential and commercial interior walls, shower walls, and backsplashes in bathrooms, kitchens, and living rooms. Its ANSI A326.3 classification is ID, for level indoor floors kept dry.
Absorption of 0.5% or less makes this impervious porcelain, meaning very little water enters the tile body. Breaking strength reaches at least 425 pounds, compared with the 250-pound ANSI minimum for floor tile. Wet DCOF is at least 0.42. Frost and thermal shock resistance are both confirmed, and chemical resistance is Class E.
The tile is sold by the box, with pricing shown per square foot. Eight pieces provide 15.38 square feet, and the box weighs 67 pounds. Mirage Sand is also available in 24x24 and 24x48 tile, a 2x2 mosaic, and a 4 inch hexagon mosaic.
