Product Description
Taj Opus Mirage Sand is a 24x48 polished porcelain tile shaped as an expansive beige marble-look panel. Its fine shimmer and gently shifting stone pattern interpret Taj Mahal stone on a broad surface, with polish reflecting light across the veining and warm neutral ground.
At 24x48, the elongated format creates long visual spans and lets fewer individual pieces fill a wall or floor area. The tile is 9 mm, or 3/8 inch, thick with rectified edges. V3 variation produces clear differences in tone and pattern between pieces, so the surface retains natural-looking movement. Ratings cover light residential floors, backsplashes, shower walls, and residential or commercial interior walls in bathrooms, kitchens, and living rooms. ANSI A326.3 assigns it the ID class for level indoor floors maintained in dry conditions.
A water absorption rate of 0.5% or less places the tile in the impervious porcelain category, where almost no moisture enters the body. Minimum breaking strength is 425 pounds, exceeding the 250-pound ANSI floor-tile benchmark. Its wet DCOF is at least 0.42. Class E chemical resistance accompanies resistance to both frost and thermal shock.
This format is sold by the box with the price displayed per square foot. Two tiles cover 15.49 square feet, and one box weighs 67 pounds. Other Mirage Sand options include 12x24 and 24x24 tile, a 2x2 mosaic, and a 4 inch hexagon mosaic.
