Black marble in a farmhouse apron form
This rectangular farmhouse sink is hand carved from a solid block of black marble quarried in Turkey. It has the apron front of a farmhouse sink in a compact size: 21.5 inches long, 13.5 inches wide and 6 inches high. The natural veining in the black stone is different on every piece, so no other sink will share its pattern. The finish is polished, and the sink arrives professionally sealed.
Design
Polished black with a curved basin
The polish gives the black marble a deep, reflective surface that brings the veining forward. Inside, the basin is curved, with no tight corners where grime can collect, which keeps it easy to clean. Black marble works in contemporary, modern, traditional and transitional rooms, and it pairs with minimal chrome or warm brass fittings alike. Moderate color variation is normal.

Where to use it
Compact, for kitchen or bath
The sink is listed for kitchen use, where its 21.5 by 13.5 inch footprint gives a real workspace without taking over the counter. The same form works as a bathroom sink on a vanity. Solid marble handles everyday temperature changes from hot and cold water, and the sealed surface resists everyday staining. The 4 cm drain hole fits standard plumbing without custom changes.

Installation
Above the counter, apron forward
The sink installs above the counter. Solid marble is heavy, so the counter must be flat, level and strong. A hole is cut in the counter to line up with the 4 cm drain, and the sink is set in silicone with the apron facing out at the counter edge. The rim stands 6 inches above the counter, so the faucet must reach over it: a tall deck-mounted faucet or a wall-mounted spout.

Care
Black marble is a porous calcite stone, and acids such as lemon juice or vinegar can etch the polished surface. The sink arrives professionally sealed, and how often it is resealed depends on use, often once a year.
