Toros Black rectangular marble console
This rectangular console is handcrafted from Toros Black marble quarried in Turkey, with a polished finish that captures light. It measures 40 inches long, 12 inches deep and 30 inches high, a clean-lined piece for an entryway, a hallway or a living room. Every console is unique: the natural variation and veining in the stone are what make each one different from the next. Its minimal form sits between classic marble furniture and a contemporary outline.
Design
Polished black, straight lines
The polished top is about 2 inches thick, which gives the console a solid, grounded look. The polish catches light through the day, so the black surface changes with the room's lighting and never reads as flat. The rectangular form keeps the lines clean and simple, an understated backdrop for objects that complements rather than competes with the rest of the room. Natural black marble carries fine variations in tone and veining, and those differ on every piece.

Where to use it
Entry tray or sofa display
At 40 inches long and only 12 inches deep, the console gives ample display space without overwhelming a compact entry or a narrow hallway. In an entryway, a catchall tray keeps keys and mail in one place. In a hallway, layer it with sculptural objects, greenery and a statement mirror. Behind a sofa it becomes a display surface for books, candles and decor. The rectangular, clean-lined design anchors modern, contemporary, traditional and transitional interiors.
Size
40" L × 12" W × 30" H, polished Toros Black marble.
Shape
Rectangular, with a slim 12 inch depth.
Delivery and setup
Heavy stone, steady footing
Solid marble makes this a heavy console. Plan for two or more people to carry it in, and check doorways along the way. Set it on a level floor so it stands without wobbling, with felt pads or a rug to protect wood and tile underneath. Once placed, its weight gives it clean-lined stability under lamps and decor.

Made to order
Handcrafted to order
This console is handcrafted and made to order, on two schedules. The 3 to 4 week option ships sooner, and the 8 to 14 week option is the lower priced choice for the same size and finish. It can also be made in a custom size or finish. To start a custom piece, contact us with the measurements of the space.
Care
Toros Black is a calcite marble with a polished face. It is a porous stone, so acids such as vinegar and lemon can etch the polish and spills left to sit can mark it. Occasional resealing protects against everyday wear, and how often it is needed depends on use. With that, marble furniture lasts for many years.
