Toros Black marble, a low rectangular basin
This rectangular sink is carved by hand from black marble quarried in Turkey. It measures 20.3 inches long, 14.4 inches wide and 4.7 inches high, with walls 2 to 3 cm thick, and it sits on top of the counter. The finish is semi-polished, a soft sheen between a matte and a mirror gloss. Natural veining and grain run through the dark stone, and because every sink is carved individually, no two basins are the same.
Design
A semi-polished black stone
Each sink is carved from a single piece of black marble, and the distinctive natural veining and grain give the dark surface depth and movement. The semi-polished finish sits between matte and fully polished. It is smooth to the touch and has a soft sheen that shows the stone's character, but it is less glassy than a full polish, so the surface feels more sure under wet hands. Curved edges and smooth interior walls leave few places for soap, toothpaste or debris to catch, which keeps cleaning to a quick rinse and dry. Natural variations in color and veining are part of the stone, not flaws. Moderate variation between pieces is normal for this marble, and it is what makes each sink one of a kind.

In a kitchen, it works as a secondary or bar sink, where a compact stone basin suits rinsing glasses and produce. The dark black stone works in modern, contemporary, traditional and transitional rooms. It pairs with matte black wall-mounted faucets for a minimal look, or contrasts with brass fixtures and warm wood vanities for a more classic one. The 4 cm drain hole takes standard drain fittings.

Installation
Set it on a flat, level top
The sink sits above the counter, so the counter or vanity top must be flat, level and strong enough to carry solid marble, which is heavy for its size. A drain hole is cut in the counter to line up with the 4 cm drain, and the sink is set in silicone. The rim stands 4.7 inches above the counter, so a deck-mounted faucet needs a spout tall enough and long enough to reach the middle of the basin; a wall-mounted faucet is the other option and keeps the counter clear. Choose the faucet before the counter is cut, and seal the stone at installation.

Care
This is a calcite marble with a semi-polished surface. Marble is porous, so acids such as vinegar or citrus can etch it and oils or cosmetics can mark it if left to sit, and an impregnating sealer slows that absorption. The stone is sealed at installation, and how often it is resealed after that depends on how much the sink is used.
