Travertine · Wall-Mount sink
This wall-mounted sink is carved by hand from beige travertine quarried in Turkey. It combines a deep, sculpted basin with a long stone work surface in one piece, so it serves as both the sink and the counter beside it. It measures 54 inches long, 20 inches wide and 6 inches high. Because each sink is handmade from its own block, the beige tones and natural variations are never repeated, and the one that arrives is a single, individual piece.

Design
Most wall-mounted sinks are only a basin. This one carries a broad stone surface alongside the bowl, a layout that gives room for daily things next to the water and works as a focal point in a larger bathroom. The surface is honed and filled. Honing gives the travertine a smooth, matte face, and filling closes the natural pits of the stone, so the surface is easier to live with than open, unfilled travertine. The hand-carved edges are smoothed, with no sharp corners. The design has no overflow, which keeps the full depth of the basin usable for filling or for rinsing larger items. The beige stone shows the soft banding and mineral variation of travertine, and moderate colour variation between pieces is normal.

Where to use it
At 54 inches long, the sink suits a larger primary bathroom, where it gives a shared wash area and a long counter on the wall with no vanity below. Keeping the floor open makes the room look more spacious and removes the base that collects dust. The warm beige works with wood, plaster and lighter stone, and with brass, bronze or black fittings. The sink has a single 1⅛ inch faucet hole for a standard bathroom faucet, and its 1.5 inch drain opening connects to conventional plumbing without custom parts.

Installation
A 54 inch piece of solid travertine is heavy, and its weight is spread along the wall, so the wall needs solid blocking between the studs across the full mounting length. It is simplest to add while the wall is open. Brackets or supports are fixed into that blocking, and the drain and supply lines are planned for the basin position. Because the sink has its own faucet hole, the supply lines run up from below to a deck-mounted faucet; the faucet should be chosen early to suit the 1⅛ inch hole. A professional installer is recommended, both for the weight and so the drain lines up cleanly.
Why we chose it

Made to order
This sink is made to order on two production schedules. The 3 to 4 week option ships sooner, while the 8 to 14 week option is the lower-priced choice. When the wall is shorter or longer than 54 inches, or a different basin position is needed, the sink can be made in a custom size or finish. To start a custom order, contact us with the measurements of the wall.
Travertine is a porous calcite stone, so acidic products, vinegar and some bathroom sprays can etch and dull the honed surface. The filling closes the open pits, and sealing keeps water out of the stone; how often it is resealed depends on how much the sink is used.
