The table should stand on a level floor, where its weight keeps it firmly planted without wobble. Felt pads under the legs protect wood or tile floors. If the table has to move later, it should be lifted rather than slid, which protects both the legs and the floor. Once placed, the weight of the stone keeps it from shifting when someone leans on it.
