Tundra Gray marble, hung on the wall
This rectangular sink is carved by hand from a single block of Tundra Gray marble quarried in Turkey. It measures 18 inches long, 12 inches wide and 7 inches high, a compact footprint made for powder rooms, guest baths and the narrow niches where a full vanity would feel bulky. The stone has a cool gray ground with natural veining and soft shifts in tone, and no two sinks are exactly alike. Each one is shaped individually in the workshop, so the veining on the sink that arrives will follow its own path. The basin is solid marble from rim to base, with no liner or coating, and it is made to be hung on the wall or set on top of a vanity.
Design
Cool gray stone, soft edges
Tundra Gray is a quiet marble. Its veining adds movement across the surface without competing with the tile, the mirror or the faucet around it. The sink is polished, which brings the gray to a glossy face, deepens the contrast in the veining and gives the basin a smooth surface that is easy to keep clean. The edges are curved rather than sharp, and that rounded profile softens the straight lines most bathrooms are built from: tile joints, mirror frames, door casings. At 7 inches high, the basin has enough depth to hold water while hands are washed, yet the rectangle stays slim on the wall. Moderate color variation between sinks is normal for this stone. One piece may show stronger white veining, another a more even gray, and both are true to the material.

Where to use it
Made for small bathrooms
Hung on the wall, the sink leaves the floor beneath it open. That open floor makes a small room feel larger, it allows the mounting height to be set for the people who use the room, and it removes the pedestal or cabinet base where dust, hair and water spots tend to collect. The 12 by 18 inch footprint suits powder rooms, guest bathrooms and the niche of a primary bath where a sink is wanted without a cabinet. Powder rooms and guest baths are also a natural fit for marble because they see lighter daily use than a busy family bathroom. The same sink can also sit on top of a vanity like a vessel, if storage underneath is wanted. The 1.77 inch drain hole connects to conventional drain fittings, and the 1 inch mounting bracket works with standard plumbing.

Installation
Prepare the wall first
Solid marble is heavy, so a wall-mounted sink needs solid backing. Blocking between the studs at the mounting height is the usual answer, and it is easiest to add while the wall is open. The mounting height, the drain position and the supply lines should all be decided together before the wall is closed. A wall-mounted faucet is a natural pairing for a floating sink, and its rough-in also has to be set while the wall is open. If the sink goes on a vanity instead, the top must be flat, level and strong enough for the stone, with a hole cut to match the drain, and the sink is set in silicone. A professional installer is recommended for the weight and for clean drain and supply connections.

Care
Tundra Gray is a porous calcite marble, so acidic liquids such as lemon or vinegar can etch the polished surface, and sealing helps keep stains out. How often it is resealed depends on how much the bathroom is used.
