Tuscany travertine with a ribbed front
This wall-mount vanity sink is carved by hand from beige travertine quarried in Turkey. It measures 28 inches long, 18 inches wide and 6 inches high, which gives it the presence of a statement piece while leaving the floor beneath it free. That combination suits powder rooms and compact bathrooms, where every inch of floor matters, as well as a larger bath that wants a lighter look. The front of the sink is ribbed, the surface is honed and filled, and each piece is sculpted individually, so no two sinks are the same.
Design
Vertical ribs, honed stone
The ribbed front is the sink's signature. Vertical ribs are carved across its face, and they catch light and cast thin shadows, giving the wall real depth instead of a flat stone surface. The finish is honed and filled. Honing gives the travertine a smooth, matte face that shows its warm beige tones and natural veining, and filling closes the small natural holes in the stone, leaving a closed surface with fewer places for water and soap to settle. The edges are curved, without hard-to-clean corners. The basin has no overflow hole, so the inside is a single clean shape down to the drain. Travertine varies in tone and vein pattern from block to block, so the shade and movement of each sink differ, and moderate color variation between pieces is normal. That variation is what makes the sink a one-of-a-kind piece rather than an interchangeable fixture.

Where to use it
A floating sink for tight rooms
Hung on the wall, the sink seems to float. The open floor underneath makes a small bathroom feel larger, removes the visual weight of a cabinet or pedestal, and makes the floor easier to clean. It can also sit on top of a vanity when storage is needed below. The warm beige travertine pairs naturally with minimalist and contemporary rooms, with farmhouse and Mediterranean bathrooms, and with spa-style interiors. It works with matte black fixtures and ribbed tile, with warm brass, or with neutral stone around it. At 28 by 18 inches, the basin has room for daily washing without crowding a narrow wall. The 1.5 inch drain hole takes standard plumbing fittings.

Installation
Solid backing for a stone sink
Travertine is heavy, so a wall-mounted sink needs solid backing. Before the sink goes up, the wall should have blocking between the studs at the mounting height, which is simplest to add while the wall is open, and the sink hangs on brackets fixed into it. A wall-mounted faucet is the usual pairing, and its position and the supply lines are best planned before the wall is closed. If the sink sits on a vanity instead, the top must be flat, level and strong enough to carry the stone, and the faucet can be mounted on the counter or the wall behind it. A professional installer is recommended.

Care
Travertine is a porous calcite stone, and the filled, honed surface reduces how much water it absorbs. Acidic cleaners and liquids can etch it, and resealing keeps it water resistant. How often it is resealed depends on use.
